Consent on this device

Browser storage should have a clear purpose. Here is what the site's own code stores and what it does not.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store through your browser and, in many cases, receive with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser facility that keeps information for a particular site until it is cleared. The preference tool below uses local storage, not a tracking cookie.

The supplied website code does not set advertising or analytics cookies, load third-party tracking scripts, or send browsing behaviour to an AI service. Reading the articles does not require accepting optional storage. Core navigation and article content remain available without a saved preference.

Your local preference

Choose Accept or Essential Only to record a preference on this browser. Both choices currently leave optional tracking inactive because no optional tracking is implemented. Saving Accept does not authorise undisclosed future processing. Any new optional technology would require an updated explanation and any consent required by law before activation.

Device preference

This setting is local to this browser and does not send a preference to a server.

Changing or clearing a choice

You can return here and select Essential Only to replace an earlier Accept choice. You can also remove the stored item using your browser's site-data settings. Clearing site data removes the preference, so it will no longer be available in this browser. Private browsing modes may discard it automatically, and storage restrictions may prevent it from being saved.

Preferences do not automatically transfer between devices, browser profiles or different browsers. Blocking local storage does not prevent you from reading the site's educational content.

External destinations and local files

Following a link to a publisher, regulator or other external website opens a service with its own storage and privacy practices. Downloaded message files and clipboard contents are controlled by your device and applications, not by this preference. Remove those separately if you no longer need them.
