Editorial remit

Why this observatory exists

A place to slow down the replay and make the reasoning visible.

Summitcedarwhirl.living is an independent educational website about AI esports performance intelligence. We write for analysts, coaches and competitive players who want to understand decisions without reducing a player to a score. Our central question is practical: what can an analysis system help us notice, and what still requires careful human interpretation?

The unit is a decision

We organise the site around player options, team responses and competitive conditions. This keeps the discussion attached to something a reader can inspect. We do not operate a live player database, collect match uploads or sell automated coaching results through this website.

Our editorial distinction

Observation: what a source directly shows.
Interpretation: a proposed explanation.
Recommendation: a practical question to test.

These belong together, but they should never be mistaken for the same kind of claim.

How we handle evidence

Official publisher updates and event rules establish competitive conditions. Replays establish visible actions. Player accounts and authorised communication can add context, but do not eliminate uncertainty. We identify conceptual examples as teaching tools and avoid presenting diagrams as real telemetry.

These pages are method briefings, not reports of a newly conducted study. They do not claim a measured performance advantage, a proprietary training dataset or access to private team information. Supporting photography provides setting rather than match evidence.

Independence and attribution

Summitcedarwhirl.living is not affiliated with game publishers, teams or tournament organisers. Product, competition and organisation names identify the environments being discussed. Their appearance does not imply endorsement. We do not provide betting advice or guaranteed competitive outcomes.

Corrections and useful disagreement

A correction request is most useful when it identifies a page, a specific statement and a source we can inspect. Methodological disagreements are welcome when they explain which assumption fails and what evidence would distinguish competing interpretations. Please avoid sending private scrim files, player medical information or confidential communication.

Keep the evidence beside the claim

Start with a bounded question. Leave room for the next replay to change the answer.
